Mrs. Barbara Anne Guilford Morris, age 52, of Matthews, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Novant Medical Hospital in Charlotte, NC.

A memorial service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at New Salem Baptist Church, 2915 Goldmine Road, Monroe, NC, 28110, officiated by Reverend Douglas Rumsley. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at New Salem Baptist Church.

Barbara was born on March 5, 1965, in Sarasota, FL, a daughter of Gloria Rogers Gulford Svatonsky and the late Harold Leo Guilford. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her mother Gloria G. Svatonsky; her sons Robert Andrew Morris (Jessica) of Campobello, SC and Michael Allen Morris of Matthews, NC; her brothers Harold Leo Guilford, Jr. (Cecilia) of Geraldine, AL and Rickey Guilford (Maria) of Sarasota, FL; and her sisters Debi Whittle of New Port News, VA and Melissa Dugger (James) of Monroe, NC.There is one granddaughter, Lela Morris.
