Mrs. Barbara (MeeMaw) Grove Gosa, age 80, of Pageland, South Carolina, formerly of Monroe, North Carolina,  passed away Friday, June 10, 2016, at her residence.
 
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Barbara Gosa will be conducted at 5:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2016, in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112. Interment will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
 
Mrs. Gosa was born on May 29,1936, in Charlotte, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Royce Hodges Grove and Thelma Elfrink Grove.
She was married to the late James William Gosa, who passed in 2002. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betsy Watson in 2014.
 
She was a homemaker.
 
Survivors include two sons, Boyd (Buddy) Glen Gosa of the Philippines, Timothy Mark Gosa of Cheraw, SC; a granddaughter Amanda Nicole Simpson of Pageland, SC; two grandsons, Matthew David Watson of Monroe, NC, and Cody Lee Watson of Beaufort, SC; two great granddaughters, Brianna Nicole Simpson of Pageland, SC,  and Arianna Nicole Howard of Pageland, SC; a great grandson De'ovion Jamar Howard of Pageland, SC; a sister, Rebecca G. Powell and husband, Bobby of Wilmington, NC; nephew, Christopher R. Powell of New Orleans, LA; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
 
The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM Friday Night, June 17, 2016, following the funeral ceremony at Davis.
