Mr. Dwayne Richardson, age 59, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at CMC-Main Charlotte surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church, 3703 Mary Elizabeth Church Road, Waxhaw, NC, 28173, officiated by Reverend Curtis Laney and Reverend Tim Helms.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Dwayne was born on January 12, 1957, in Union County, North Carolina, a son of Sarah Frances Helms Richardson and the late Herman Arthur Richardson.  He was a job superintendent with Godfrey construction for 36 very dedicated years. Dwayne enjoyed target shooting, hunting, fishing, racing, and just having fun with his family and friends. He was "Dad" to the children and "Papoo" to his grandchildren that enjoyed so much.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brother David Arthur Richardson.

Survivors include his wife Sharon Phillips Richardson; his daughter Jamie Richardson Carnes; his son Matthew Dwayne Richardson (Savannah); his granddaughter Haley Elizabeth Baerga; his grandson Trenton Eric Carnes; his mother Sarah Frances Helms Richardson; his sister Pam Richardson Rape (Mike); his brothers Randy Dale Richardson (Nancy Brookbank) and Jeffery Allison Richardson (Betty Sue).

The family will receive friends Saturday evening, August 6, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home at 1003 East Franklin Street in Monroe.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church Building Fund, 3703 Mary Elizabeth Church Road, Waxhaw, NC, 28173.
