Mrs. Earline Hildreth McManus, age 88, of Monroe, North Carolina passed away Thursday March 16, 2017 at Jesse Helms Nursing Center.

Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 1, 2017, at New Salem Baptist Church, 2915 Goldmine Road, Monroe NC, 28110, officiated by Reverend Douglas Rumley. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will follow after graveside at Lakeland Memorial Park.

Mrs. McManus was born on August 12, 1928, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Joseph Alexander Hildreth and the late Dosha Hasty Hildreth. In her earlier years she was a machine operator at Springs Industries in Lancaster, SC.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul McManus; her two sisters Irene Hildreth Hood, Pauline Hildreth; and her four brothers Jesse Hildreth, Jodie Hildreth, James Hildreth and Carl Hildreth.

Survivors include her brother Ray Hildreth of Tacoma, WA, half sister Phyllis Williams of Ventura California, there are numerous nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
