Mr. Henry Dickson Caudle, age 81, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at the Novant Presbyterian Hospital-Matthews Hospice Center on Friday, May 5, 2017.

Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, May 8, 2017, at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 5417 Morgan Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28112, officiated by Pastor Gary Hunsucker and Pastor George Hunnicutt. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Caudle was born on August 2, 1935, in Union County, North Carolina, a son of the late Harvey Caudle and the late Sarah Thomas Caudle and late step-mother Cora Lee Caudle.

Henry was retired from the maintenance department of Union Regional Medical Center, now CMC-Union, after 27 years of dedicated service.

Mr. Caudle was a deer hunter and enjoyed his garden, loved his family and especially all of his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 60 years, Raymell Williams Caudle of Monroe; his son, Charles Lane Caudle of Monroe; his daughter, Judy Nance of Monroe; his daughter, Dana Braswell and husband Eddie of Marshville; three brothers,  Javis Caudle of Monroe, Wilson Caudle of Harrisburg and Curtis Caudle of Marshville.

There are five grandchildren, Melissa Hilton, James Nance, Kasey Brock, Lana Caudle and Cody Caudle; six great grandchildren, Caleb Tarlton, Grant Tarlton, Kelsi Brock, Alyssa Brock, Cali Brock and Jayden Hubbard.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Monday, at Mill Creek Baptist Church, prior to the funeral ceremony.
