Mr. James Carmon Hefner Jr, age 78, of Waxhaw, NC passed away Saturday, January 13th, 2018 at his residence in Waxhaw, NC.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mr. Hefner be 3:00 PM Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Davis Fuuneral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112.

Mr. Hefner was born on January 9th, 1940 in York County, SC a son of the late James Carmon Hefner Sr and the late Pauline Hancock Hefner. He was preceded in death by a son, Eric Eugene Hefner in 1991. He was a supervisor with US Foods.

Survivors include his wife Margaret Simpson Hefner of Waxhaw, a daughter, Carmen Melissa Helms and her husband Randy of Monroe, a daughter Margaret Selena Moree of Monroe, a son James Carmin Hefner III of Monroe, a son Phillip Aaron Hefner and wife Crystal of Monroe, 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the memorial service at Davis Funeral Chapel.
