Mr. Jose R. Urbina Jimenez, age 78, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away at Brandon Regional Hospital in Florida on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.

Reverend Obed Perez will conduct the services to be held at Davis Funeral Home in the Dogwood Room at 1003 E. Franklin Street, Monroe, N.C.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 5:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, and Friday, November 20.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21 at 2:00 PM with Interment immediately following at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Urbina Jimenez was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico on November 20, 1936, to the late Bernardino Urbina Sierra and Dolores Jimenez Urbina.  Mr. Urbina Jimenez was a retired custodian of the Puerto Rico school system.  

Mr. Urbina Jimenez was predeceased by both his parents and his son, Wallys E. Urbina.  Surviving family members include his wife of 53 years, Ana Pinto of Monroe, N.C., daughter Ana Urbina (Ulisses) of Monroe, N.C., sons Jose R. Urbina (Lynette) and Jesse Urbina (Maria) both from Florida.  Brothers Ruben H. Urbina of Holyoke, MA, Luis A. Urbina of Cidra, PR, Jose Colon of Salem, MA, and sister Minerva Urbina of Canovanas, PR.  Additional survivors include nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
