Mr. Kerry L. Davis, age 66, of Wingate, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Hospice of Union County.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, July 7, 2017, at Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC, 28112, officiated by Reverend Jack Hildreth. The family will receive friends from 12:00  PM until 1:00 PM prior to the memorial service in the chapel.

Mr. Davis was born on June 23, 1951, in Roseboro, North Carolina, a son of the late McDonald Davis II and the late Emma Lee Filyan Davis.  He was insurance and financial advisor for Monroe Insurance Agency a partner of Tarkenton Financial. He was a fun loving, thoughtful man and also very generous. He loved music and played several instruments, and loved the beach and beach music. Most of all he loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his beloved dog Buddy, they were truly inseparable.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gay Davis of Wingate, NC; his sons Kerry John Davis and Jason Davis and his wife Kristina Moody Davis all of Wingate, NC; his five grandchildren; and his great grandson.
