Mrs.Margaret "Jackie" Tarlton Moss, age 78, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, at her residence.

Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Jackie Moss will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Davis Funeral Chapel, officiated by Reverend Raye Laney and Pastor Benny Helms.

Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Moss was born on February 9, 1938, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Millard Foster Tarlton, Sr. and Emmie Moser Tarlton.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles "Pete" Tarlton and Millard Foster Tarlton, Jr and a sister, Carolyn Tarlton.
She was a homemaker, loving mother, dedicated wife and member of New Life Baptist Church in Monroe.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Moss of Monroe; her children, Harold D. Tyson II of Charlotte, Linda Mullis and Darrell of Monroe, Cathy Smith of Monroe, James W. Laney, Jr and Monica of Van Wyck, SC, David Tyson and Susan of Monroe, Reverend Raye Laney and Stacey of Monroe, Faye Laney of Monroe, Brenda Haston and Henry of Monroe; one brother, Reverend Marvin Tarlton and Joyce of Monroe; two sisters, Jean Stegall of Monroe and Brenda Pressley and Morris of Monroe.

There are 32 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Monday Night, April 18, 2016, at Davis Funeral Home of Monroe, 1003 East Franklin Street.

Friends are also invited to visit at the home of her daughter, Linda Mullis, 3816 Mullis Newsome Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
