Mrs. Minnie Jo Moser, age 80, of Monroe, North Carolina, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 21, 2016, at her residence.

Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC, 28112, officiated by Reverend Roger Nance and Reverend Jeremy Moser.  Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.

Mrs. Moser was born on July 2, 1936, in Union County, North Carolina, to the late John English Mills and the late Ida Outen Mills. She was married to the late Thomas Neil Moser, who passed on April 12, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Hazel Mills, Gladys Timmons, Tom Mills, Raymond Mills, Bobby Mills, Lois Johnson, and Carson Mills.

She was a homemaker. She and Thomas Neil Moser were foster parents to many children over the years. This was one of her greatest joys, and she was loved by family and friends alike.

Survivors include her six sons Douglas Moser (Francy) of Monroe, NC, Tommy Moser (Betty) of Jefferson, SC, Jerry Maney (Wanda) of Pageland, SC, Rick Long (the late Tonya) of Monroe, NC, Danny Long (Michelle) of Monroe, NC, and Jerry Long of Monroe, NC; there are twelve grandchildren Morgan, Jeremy, Jennifer, Lesley, Hannah, Ryan, Kent, Christopher, Joseph, Daniel, and Alex; and there are thirteen great grandchildren Quinton, Raina, Christian, Gavin, Jaxson, Bryson, Kason, Karsyn, Freya Rose, (Lyrit Ryvre),Tristan, Kadin, and Caylee; her special sister Ann Austin (the late Tom) of Pageland, SC; Eunice Christian of Georgia and her brother Lawrence Mills of Lancaster, SC.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home.
