Mrs. Rebecca Sue Andrews Wright, age 65, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

A funeral mass to celebrate her life will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 725 Deese Street, Monroe, NC, 28112, officiated by Father Benjamin Roberts. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte, NC 28227.

Mrs. Wright was born on March 16, 1952, in Cumberland, Maryland, a daughter of the late Joseph Andrews and the late Alma Murray Andrews.  She was the secretary for Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles Andrews and Donald Andrews; and her sisters Nancy Saville and Mary Squires.

Survivors include her husband Michael Wright of Monroe, NC; her daughter Cassandra Lynn Wright of Charlotte, NC; her sons Matthew Wright of Monroe, NC and Jason Wright of Lawrenceville, GA; her four sisters Ruth Wolford of Oldtown, MD, Joan Griese of Cumberland, MD, Fran McFarland of Ridgely, WV and Theresa McClusker of Delaware; her brothers Jim Andrews of Clear Springs, PA and Michael Andrews of Cumberland, MD.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, November 17, 2017, at Davis Funeral Home, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112.
