Mr. James “Bobby” A. Williams II, age 68, of Monroe, NC, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his home.
Graveside Services to honor and celebrate Bobby’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Pageland, 203 Pigg Street, Pageland, SC 29728.
Bobby was born on June 28, 1952 in Union County, NC, a son of the late James Alexander Williams and Mary Louise Wallace. Bobby spent his life working as a structural engineer and could fix anything. He was a kind and giving person who would give you the shirt off his back and the last penny in his pocket. He uplifted those he loved by believing in them more than they may have believed in themselves. Bobby had a passion for music and could sing and play any instrument. There was never a family gathering where he was not playing or a car ride where he wasn’t singing. He was a wonderful grandfather and uncle who loved to spread his love for music through songs such as “Puff the Magic Dragon”. He had a unique cooking style and believed in creating his own recipes using every ingredient found in the kitchen. To convince others how good his creations were, he would always say “Don’t knock it until you try it!” Bobby was a casual and clever person who had several unforgettable quotes including: “If I’m wrong, it’s because I was misinformed” and “I don’t know everything, I just know everything worth knowing”. The memories made with his family throughout his life will be cherished forever.
Bobby is survived by his children, Crystal O’Neal, Laura Laire (Todd), James A. Williams III, and Charles Williams (Heather), his sister, Betty Causey, his brother, John Williams, and his sister, Charla Webb. Survivors also include his grandchildren; Christopher O’Neal, Ryan O’Neal, Abigail O’Neal, Rebekah O’Neal, Liam O’Neal, Emma O’Neal, Ethan Williams, Adam Williams, Sean Williams, Amber Williams, Tristan Laire, and Skylah Laire, as well as numerous nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mrs. Tonie Eason Williams and his sister, Zelma Ann Williams.
