Allen Dale Griffin

Mr. Allen Dale (Joe) Griffin, age 60, of Hartsville, South Carolina, formerly of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018, at his residence.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112, officiated by Reverend Kitral Benton, Reverend Lee Benton, and Reverend Doug Benton. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.

Mr. Griffin was born on October 13, 1957, in Florence, South Carolina, a son of Barbara Deese Staton of Monroe and the late Calvin Coolidge Griffin.
He was a retired environmental service director.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Donna Elaine Reed Griffin of Hartsville, SC; two daughters, Tiffany Griffin Shurley of Lancaster, SC, and Nicole Griffin Faile of Lancaster, SC; two sons, Joseph Allen Griffin of Pageland, SC and Lewis Douglas Griffin of Unionville,NC; his mother and step father, Barbara and Bob Staton of Monroe, NC; two brothers, Tex Griffin of Monroe, NC and Billy Griffin of Tradesville, SC; two sisters, Linda Mareth of Marshville, NC, and Carolyn Griffin Benton of Hartsville, SC. There are nine grandchildren, Brandon Griffin, Karina Beltran, Kaicee Shurley, Cameron Faile, Carmen Faile, Dyllan Griffin,Alexis Long,  Kayllan Griffin and Lyndon Griffin.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2018, prior to the ceremony at Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whispering Pines Baptist Church, 2182 North Fifth Street, Hartsville, SC 29550.
