Mr. Bruce Everett Cuthbertson, age 69, of Wingate, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, at CMC-Union in Monroe.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 3:00 PM Monday, May 15, 2017, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 6510 Mt. Moriah Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103, officiated by Pastor Mel Winstead.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Monday, prior to the ceremony at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

Mr. Cuthbertson was born on October 30, 1947, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, a son of Elga Williams Cuthbertson and the late Bruce Cuthbertson. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Walter Jennings Evans, II.

He retired from Pilgrim’s Pride in the receiving department with 38 years of dedicated service. He was also a US Army veteran.

Survivors include his mother, Elga Williams Cuthbertson of Wingate; his wife, Regina Mills Cuthbertson of Wingate; a daughter, Beth Evans and husband Walt of Monroe; a son, Todd Cuthbertson and wife Hannah of Monroe; two brothers, Tommy Cuthbertson and wife Donna of Monroe and Billy Cuthbertson and wife Donna of Monroe; a granddaughter, Lona Ann Evans of Monroe. There are numerous nieces and nephews.
