Darryl A. Grant

Mr. Darryl Allen Grant, age 48, of Monroe, NC passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at CMC-Main in Charlotte, NC.

Visitation honoring the life of Mr. Grant will take place 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM Saturday, February 3 at Davis Funeral Service, 1003 E. Franklin St., Monroe, NC, 28112. Darryl placed importance on family over formality, and the Grant family requests that you come as you are in casual attire, preferably in Panthers or Tar Heel blue.

A celebration of life event is being planned and arrangements will be announced when available. 

Mr. Grant was born September 1, 1969, in Mecklenburg County, NC, the son of Dan A. Grant of Holden Beach and Sandra Kay Deese of Monroe, NC. He was a contractor and painter in Monroe, NC. He will be deeply missed by all of his loving family and friends.

Survivors include his grandmother Marietta Everhart, sisters Dawn A. Grant of Kannapolis, Brenda L. Grant of Belmont, Glenda L. Pressley of Charlotte, Joanna M. Childers and husband Gene of Earl, NC, Dacoda “Codi” A. Grant of High Shoals, NC. Brothers Daniel A. Grant of Gastonia, Drake A. Grant and his wife Ashley, of Mt. Holly, NC

Children include Amanda Morrison, her husband Travis, and daughter Alyssa of Layfette, GA, Darius A. Grant of Monroe, NC, Krysta Doucette of Rock Hill, SC, Blake Philemon of Monroe, NC, Sydnee Bivone of Rock Hill, SC and Zaden Woodyatt of Rock Hill, SC

Nieces and nephews include Christopher A. Pressley and wife Gale of Monroe, NC, Johnathan L. Shoup and wife Elizabeth from Kannapolis, Samantha Courtney and husband Andrew of New Salem, NC, Jaxon Grant and Noah Grant, of Mt. Holly, NC and Cole Jones of High Shoals, NC

One great aunt, all the aunts, uncles, and cousins, all the kids; C.J., Abigale, Jackson, Tensley, Alex, A.J., Kiara, Rob, Jessica, and William (Jr.)

…and last, but not least, sweet Ginger.
