Henderson "Dean" Eugene Russ Jr.

Mr. Henderson Eugene "Dean" Russ Jr., age 60, of Monroe, NC went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2018. 

A Celebration of Life for Dean will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Midway Methodist Church 3625 Stack Road, Monroe, NC 28112, officiated by Minister Don Meadows. Interment will follow in the Midway Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 PM.

Dean was born September 22, 1957 in Mecklenburg County, the son of the late Henderson Eugene Russ Sr., and Florence Estes Russ. Mr. Russ was a hard and dedicated worker who was employed by Tyson for 39 years. Active and energetic throughout his life, he loved the outdoors, and would drive to the beach just to see the ocean. He is fondly remembered by his loved ones for his helpful nature, his dedication to family, and his easy going personality. 

Mr. Russ is survived by his his four sons; Frankie Russ and wife Carie, Scott Russ and wife Mikala, Henderson Russ III and wife Amber, Timothy Russ, his three daughters; Florence Miller and husband Antwon, Tina Russ and fiancee DJ Poole, and Tracy Courtney, three brothers; Richard Russ and wife Pasty, David Russ and wife Terri, Billy Russ and wife Margaret, a sister, Darlene Carter, a special niece, Samantha Russ, and nephew Bryon Russ, and brother-in-law, Bill Wallace. Survivors also include his 21 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Russ was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Russ, his sister, Gale Russ, and his granddaughter, Hannah Sanchez.
