Henry Crowder

Mr. Henry Crowder, age 73, of Monroe, NC, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Brian Center in Monroe.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, October 4, 2018, in the Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin St, Monroe, NC, 28112, officiated by Rev. Frank Crump.

Henry was born February 9, 1945 in Union County, NC, a son of the late Jasper Crowder and Mattie Sassafras Crowder. An outspoken man who was constantly laughing, Henry always had a smile on his face and brought joy to everyone around him. Henry loved the outdoors, as he appreciated all of God's creation, and especially enjoyed going for a ride through the country. A member of Faulks Baptist Church, he loved attending worship services. He is lovingly remembered by his loved ones not only for his sense of humor, but for his love and dedication for his family.

Mr. Crowder is survived by a brother, Willie Crowder and wife Judy of Wingate, NC, a niece, Glenda Hawkins and husband Richard of Wingate, NC, and sister-in-law Dorothy Crowder of Wingate, NC. Henry is also survived by numerous nephews, cousins, and friends, who will miss him greatly.

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Crowder, and four sisters; Mary Pearson, Delia Covington, Louise Crowder, and Pearl Crowder.
