Mr. Jackie Boy Threatt, age 61, departed this life on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at his home in Monroe, NC, after an extended illness.
A Homegoing Celebration for Jackie will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Flint Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, 534 Flint Ridge Church Road, Pageland, SC, 29728 officiated by Dr. Eddie McIllwain. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
For those who wish to pay their respects prior to the Homegoing Celebration, Mr. Threatt will lie in state between the hours of 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, October 19, 2018 in the Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC, 28112.
Jackie Boy was born in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, a son of the late Mr. Harry Threatt and Mrs. Eva Mae Nicholson Threatt. He attended school in Chesterfield County prior to working for Holly Farm and Tyson for 41 years. Jackie Boy served our country through his service to the United States Army, and National Guard. He loved fishing, hunting, and working on cars.
He leaves to cherish fond memories; a devoted wife of 41 years, Kathy Lockhart Threatt of Monroe, NC, a son, Jackie Threatt Jr. of Monroe, NC, a daughter, Ladonna Threatt of Stallings, NC, a special daughter, Zamiriah Threatt of Monroe, NC, a son, Rodney Lockhart and wife Michelle of Heath Springs, SC, a son, Larry Knotts and wife Tynisha of Marshville, NC, three sisters; Pearlie Mae Blakeney, Mae Bell Parker and husband James, and Phyllis Obasi, three brothers; Billy James Threatt and wife Blondell, Levoy Threatt, Frankie Threatt and wife Roxie, and seven grandchildren. Survivors also include a very special niece; Etta Jaine LouAllen, four sister-in-laws, four brother-in-laws, four special sisters-in-laws; Annie Jean Lockhart, Donna Lockhart, Teresa Everette, and Beatrice Threatt, one uncle, L.C. Nicholson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including a devoted friend Mr. Curtis McManus.
In addition to his parents, Jackie Boy was preceded in death by a son, Damien Threatt, as well as four brothers and three sisters.
