Mr. Jerry B. Williams, age 82, of Monroe, NC, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Atrium Health Union.
A Celebration of Life for Jerry will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May, 8, 2018, in the Davis Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC, 28112, officiated by Pastor Donald Cain. Interment including military honors will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC, 28112.
The family of Mr. Williams will receive friends at Davis Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM, prior to the Celebration of Life.
Jerry was born April 7, 1937, in Harnett County, NC, a son of the late Everett Martin Williams and Evelyn Ruth Jerigan. Mr. Williams served our country through his service to the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. A carpenter by trade, Jerry spent many years in the construction industry. Over and beyond his strong work ethic and attention to detail, Jerry was a man of integrity. A man who was committed to his community and above all else his family, he will be warmly remembered by his loved ones for his honest love and total dedication to his family.
Jerry is survived by five children; Dewey Bruce Williams (Angela), Martin “Marty” Lynn Williams, Jerry Lecrae Williams (Alison), Zimmie Larenzo Williams (Tricia), and Dolores Williams Harrell, three sisters; Betty Manning (Charles), Wilma Stone, Joan Mize (Eddie) two brothers; Kenneth Williams (Ann) and Ronald Williams (Susan) . Survivors also include twenty grandchildren: Jason Williams, Matthews Williams, Justin Williams, Cody Williams, Tonya Gainey Rice, Corey Williams, Andrea Williams, Garrett Williams, Gabe Williams, Britton Williams, Brecken Williams, Ronald Goldsmith,Bobby Goldsmith, Sandra Goldsmith, Marshall Goldsmith, Lester Goldsmith, Micheal Branch, Jeanie Squires, Julie Branch, and Amanda Martinez. Jerry is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Williams; a daughter, Marilyn Wallace (Lester), a brother, Herbert Williams (Betty Ann), a brother, Earnest Jackson Williams, brother-in-law Ravon Stone, and granddaughter Brenley Williams.
