Mike was born September 16, 1957 in Bexar County, Texas, the son of the late Donald Ray Brazell and Barbara Ann Hornsby Brazell. Mr. Brazell served his country during his time in the U.S. Army before eventually moving to North Carolina. Mike spent many years in the automotive sales, insurance, and real estate industries prior to founding Real Team Realty. His love of nature inspired him to specialize in representing rural properties. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, shooting, and golf. Mike’s desire to help develop youth was evident by his leadership in coaching sports teams, leading Royal Ambassadors, and serving as a Sunday school teacher. He was also involved in several civic organizations, including the Union County Realtor Association, Woodmen of the World, Monroe Junior Chamber of Commerce to name only a few.
Always the dedicated family man, Mike is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Becky Griffin Brazell of Marshville, NC, and his son Griffin Michael Brazell of Gastonia, NC. Survivors also include his sister Donna Bowles (Edward), of Good Hope, Georgia, sister-in-law Dottie Craiglow (Jerry), of Monroe, NC, brother-in-law Teddy Griffin (Vickie) of Marshville, NC, nephews Travis Bowles and Aaron Griffin (Kimberly), and nieces Tiffani Kelly (Kristopher), Jodi Craiglow, and Amber Griffin. Mike will be greatly missed by his family and will be remembered best by those who knew him most.
