Mrs. Mildred Clontz Baker, age 94, of Wingate, North Carolina, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017, at her residence.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Faulks Baptist Church, 2234 Faulks Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103, officiated by Dr. David Richardson. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Baker was born on December 20, 1922, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Joe Clontz and the late Dora Crook Clontz.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Zeb Smith Baker in 2011. Mildred was a retired accountant with Marshville Drugs for many years.

Survivors include her daughters Janice Baker Jordan and husband Boyce Jordan of Marshville and Joan Griffin Norwood and husband William Norwood of Monroe; her brother Warren Clontz of Charlotte; her sisters Jo Neal Clontz Baker of Charlotte and Jean Clontz Howard of Charlotte; her four grandchildren Christopher Cole Griffin of Wingate, Jeffery Bryan Jordan of Marshville, Kelly Randolph Jordan of Bessemer City and Alexander Gerard Jordan of Monroe; her seven great grandchildren; and her seven great great grandchildren .

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:50 AM Tuesday, prior to the funeral service at the church.
