Millie Baucom Drake

Mrs. Millie Baucom Drake, age 77, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Sunday morning, January 28, 2018, at White Oak Manor of Waxhaw.

Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Millie Drake will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112, officiated by Reverend Hank Parker.

Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.

A reception will follow the cemetery service in The Azalea Room of Davis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Drake was born on March 28, 1940, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Alfred William Baucom and Manilla Little Baucom. She was married to the late Joe Neal Drake who passed away September 3, 2009. Millie Ann was a retired office bookkeeper with Lowe's in Monroe with 20 plus years of dedicated service.

Survivors include her two daughters, Joheliah Drake Wilson of Monroe, and Robin Black and husband David of Wadesboro; two sons, Rusty Drake and wife Karen of Monroe and Todd Drake of Monroe; and  a sister, Mary Baucom Purser of Monroe.
There are 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM  Wednesday, prior to the funeral ceremony at Davis Funeral Home.
