Mr. Philip A. Donato, age 68, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017, at the McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe, North Carolina.

Memorial funeral services to celebrate the life of Philip A. Donato will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112.

Mr. Donato was born on July 26, 1949, in Bronx, New York,  a son of Anthony Donato of  Bronx, NY and the late Margaret Bresse Donato. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Donato. Philip was a retired self employed auto-mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy Falgiano Donato of Monroe, NC; a son, Philip Donato, Jr. and wife Shannon of Monroe, NC; two daughters, Lynette Donato Yedowitz and husband Jason of Indian Trail, NC and Gina Giuliano and husband Frankie of Bronx, NY; his father, Anthony Donato of Bronx, NY; two brothers,  Frankie Donato of Long Island, NY and Steven of  Bronx, NY; two sisters, Colette Donato of Dobbs Ferry, NY and Antoinette Donato Costello of Palisades, NY. There are eleven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends with a reception following the memorial service.
