Raymond Zielinski

Mr. Raymond Zielinski, age 79, of Monroe, NC, went home to his eternal mansion on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Autumn Care of Marshville. 

A graveside service for Mr. Zielinski will be held 1:00 PM Friday, September 21, 2018 at Secrest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 4505 Weddington Rd Monroe, NC, 28110, officiated by Rev. Jeff Whitecotton. 

The family will receive friends between 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Davis Funeral Service, 1003 East Franklin St., Monroe, NC 28112. 

Mr. Zielinski was born July 12, 1939, in Erie, PA, a son of the late Leonard Zielinski and Ann Ulijas Zielinski. Raymond attended Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA, and dedicated over a decade of his life to ministry as a Pastor. After relocating to North Carolina, Mr. Zielinski spent many years in the insurance industry, and also was an avid automotive enthusiast and active member of his community. He was a membership director for the Matthews Chamber of Commerce, and club president of the MG Classic Car Club. Raymond is lovingly remembered by his relatives as a family man with an adventurous spirit and great sense of humor.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Edwards of Monroe, NC, a daughter, Marcia Weltman and husband David of Monroe, NC, a son, Robert Zielinski Edwards and wife Cheyenne of New Port Richey, FL, a son in law, Jeffrey Green of Knoxville, TN, a sister, Maureen Stirsman of Atlanta, GA, a sister, Patricia Baldridge and husband David of Indian Land, SC, and a sister in law, Susan Zielinski. Survivors also include Mr. Zielinski's 5 grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Zielinski was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Green, a brother,  David Zielinski, and brother in law, Thomas Stirsman.
