Rodney D Cook

Mr. Rodney D. Cook, age 51, of Monroe, NC, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018.

The family will receive friends between 2:00 - 4:00 PM Friday, October 5, 2018 in the Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC, 28112. As Rodney placed importance on family over formality, the Cook family requests that you come as you are in casual attire. Rodney would prefer Duke blue.

Rodney was born July 14, 1967 in Durham, NC, a son of the late Ernest Donald Cook and Ruby Mae Dollar. Throughout his life, Rodney was a welder and machinist in the steel fabrication industry, and had spent several years working for Vann's Welding Service in Monroe. A free-spirited music lover that lived in the moment, Rodney was an adventurous man who loved the outdoors, especially fishing. Above all, Rodney is warmly remembered by his family for his good heart and kind nature.

Mr. Cook is survived by his brother, David Cook and wife Holly of Monroe, NC, a nephew, Nathan Cook of Monroe, NC, and nephew Zachary Cook and wife Meghan along with their three children Coleton, Laney, and Paisley of Monroe, NC.
