Sharon Broome Brooks

Mrs. Sharon Broome Brooks, age 63, of Monroe, NC, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at her residence. 

A Celebration of Sharon's Life will take place 6:00 PM, Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Life Church, 1721 North Charlotte Ave, Monroe, NC, officiated by Pastor Billy Gowan. 

The family will receive friends following the Celebration Service.

Sharon was born March 24, 1955, in Union County, NC, a daughter of the late James Edwin Broome and Elizabeth Annie Broome. Sharon was the co-owner of Roughedge Trading Co, LLC. Working in management her entire life, she was a hard worker who also took the time to appreciate life. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, animals, and taking care of the ones she loved. Active in her church, Sharon loved her Life Church family.  Sharon is remembered by her loved ones for her independent nature and her devotion to her family. 

Sharon is survived by a sister, Anne Conner and husband Michael of Monroe, NC, a sister, Sandie Hayes and husband Ron of Monroe, NC. Other family members include Zachary Hayes, Hanna Eudy, and Edwin Hobbs.

Although flowers are appreciated, the family asks that Memorials in Sharon's honor be sent to Life Church, 1721 North Charlotte Ave, Monroe, NC 28110.
