Mrs. Sharon Kay Parsons of Wingate, NC passed away on the 27th day of January at CMC Union in Monroe, NC

Funeral Services to honor the life of Sharon Parsons will be conducted on Saturday, 6:30 PM,  February 3 at Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112, officiated by Father Benjamin

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 3, between 5:30-6:30 PM,  prior to the service at Davis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Parsons was born December 19, 1942, in Warsaw, NY, the daughter of the late Walter Leslie Murphy and Ruth Eileen Hall Murphy. Mrs. Parsons worked as a CNA for the Mexia State School in Texas.

She was preceded in death by husband Leon George Parsons, brother Daniel Cole, brother Donald David Lasser, and stepfather Donald Lasser.

Survivors include two brothers; Robert Murphy and wife Dee, of Oakfield, NY, Dennis Vanelli and wife Jean, of Perry, NY, a sister, Donna Judkin and husband Alex of Los Angeles, CA, two daughters; Mary E. Rodriguez and husband Oscar of Wingate, NC, Kathy Contreras and husband Francisco of Mexia, TX, and a son, Hulbert Lee Parsons of Fredricksburg, VA.

Grandchildren include Robyn Eumaña and husband Salvador of Wingate, NC, Maria G. Rodriguez of Wingate, NC, Sharon Sierra and husband Rogelio, of Wingate, NC, Jessica Rocha and husband Jorge of Raleigh, NC, Oscar Leon Rodriguez of Wingate, NC, Ramon B. Rodriguez of Wingate, NC, Master at Arms Petty Officer 2nd Class Miguel Contreras and wife Molly of San Diego, CA, Frankie Contreras and wife Brandi of Mexia, TX, Maggie Contreras of Mexia, TX, Katherine McClinton and husband John of Waco, TX, Sara Kay Parsons of Clarksville, TN, and Leon George Parsons of Watertown, NY.

Mrs. Parsons is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Sharon will be greatly missed by her family and friends
