Obituary

Bobby Edward Wallace Sr., 85, of Marshville passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 in his home.  His funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday March 2, 2022 in the Fairfield Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Franklin and Rev. Frank Crump officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM prior to the hour of the service. 

Born March 19, 1936 in Union County, NC, he was the son of the late Robert and Bridie Mae Simms Wallace.  He was a retired cabinet maker and a member of Fairfield Baptist Church.  He loved to garden and enjoyed volunteering at Autumn Care. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Strawn Wallace.  Survivors include three children Bobby Edward “Eddie” Wallace Jr. (Cynthia) of Marshville, Terry Nance (John) of Albemarle, Wanda Dennis of Marshville, 2 brothers Jimmy Wallace and Ricky Wallace, both of Marshville, three sisters Bonnie Buchler of Michigan, Mildred McMillan of Laurinburg, and Barbara Wallace of Fort Mill, SC, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren.  A grandson Tony preceded him in death.
