Bryan was born July 6, 1931 in Union County, NC, a son of the late Rance Paul Plyler Sr. and Blanche Tyson Plyler. Mr. Plyler served our country through his service to the United States Army during the Korean War. During his military service, Bryan worked as a mechanic, a skill which he carried throughout his life in the automotive industry. When Bryan wasn't working, he was spending time with Annie, his wife of 63 years. Whether traveling to the beach or accompanying her shopping, Annie was the love of his life. Bryan passed away on Annie's birthday, and will be laid to rest next to her in the Bonds Grove Cemetery of Weddington United Methodist Church on their wedding anniversary. A devoted husband and family man who loved breakfast (especially bacon), German Shepherds, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, he will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered for many things, including his quote: "We love everybody".
Mr. Plyler is survived by two sons; William Plyler, Jr (Tracy) of Waxhaw and Ronald Plyler (Michelle) of Waxhaw, six grandchildren; William "Tray" Plyler (Meagan) of Waxhaw, Christa Plyler (Josh Reynolds) of Waxhaw, Chrissy Gamble Andy of Lancaster, Katie Plyler (Chance Brantley) of Waxhaw, Quinton Plyler (Allie) of Lancaster and Morgan Evans (Brian) of Waxhaw.
