Carol Tucker

Mrs. Carol Pressley Tucker, age 98, of Monroe, NC, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 16, 2021 at her residence.

Carol will lie in state between 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in the Azalea Room of Davis Funeral Service, 1003 E. Franklin St., Monroe, NC, 28112.

Graveside Services for Carol will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 20, 2021 in the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 7608 Concord Hwy., Monroe, NC, 28110, officiated by Chaplain Ron Honeycutt and Weston Davis.

Carol was born June 12, 1922 in Union County, NC, a daughter of the late Walter David Pressley and Minnie Moser Pressley. Born as one of eight children in the Pressley family, from an early age Carol set a lifelong example of compassion for others. Carol always put her family and friends first. Not afraid to stand up for those who needed a voice, she loved and accepted all people. Known for her caring spirit and empathetic heart, she looked for the good in those around her. A member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Fairview, Carol was a woman of strong faith and character. Always productive, for many years those who knew her stated they never saw her sit down. Her bright and energetic personality was present throughout her life. She loved to dance (especially "The Twist"), and exercised daily until her mid 90's. She also took the time to appreciate God's creation. Carol loved all types of flowers and enjoyed gardening. An honest woman who was a gifted storyteller, she cherished visiting with friends and family while passing down stories to the next generation. A beautiful woman with an equally beautiful soul, Carol will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. 

Left to cherish Carol's memory is her son, Daniel Tucker (Bonnie), her daughters; Terry White (David) and Karen White (Rick), her grandchildren; Davey White, Marty White, Alisa White, and Billy White. Carol is also survived by her great-grandson, Cameron Sutton, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and siblings, Carol was preceded in death and reunited in eternal life with her husband, Zed Tucker, and her daughter, Susan Tucker.
