Carole (Lee) Taylor

Carole Lee Taylor. 85, of Indian Trail passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 in her home.  Her funeral service will be at 3 PM on Sunday, May 21, 2023 in the Davis Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Billy Atkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Service on Sunday from 1:30 until 2:45 prior to the hour of the service. 

Born February 26, 1938 in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of the late William Franklin Lee and Martha WIlma Long Lee.  She was a member of Morgan Mill Road Baptist Church and was a homemaker.  She loved cooking and baking and enjoyed sharing with others.  Flower gardening was her passion with irises and daylillies being her favorite flowers.   Mrs. Taylor loved Christmas. She had a Christmas tree adorned with thousands of white and crystal ornaments in her living room that stayed up all year long.  She also enjoyed playing the Christmas hymn, Silent Night, on the piano. 

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Taylor.  Survivors include children Tamara Burnette (Jim) of Indian Trail and Dike Mullis (Tammy) of Concord, brother Raeford Lee of Monroe, 3 grandchildren Miranda Steele of Salisbury, Mandy Smith of Mint Hill, and Natalie-Rose Catron of Indian Trail, and five great-grandchildren Kara Steele, Remington Steele, Abigail Burris, Mason Smith, and Ellis Catron.  She was preceded in death by siblings Alton Lee, Nona Williams, Wriston Lee, Eunice Drake, Beatrice Robbins, Mildred Tomberlin, Hilda Broome, and Dorothy Olsen. 

The family wishes to express their special thanks to Sandra Hinson, Diane Gaddy and Hospice of Union County for their loving and compassionate care of Mrs. Taylor.   The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Union County.
