Mr. Christopher John "Chris" Hill, age 53, of Mount Croghan, SC, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Atrium Hospice of Union County.
The 2021 Ninja Meat Celebration of Life in honor of Chris will be held between 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM on November 6, 2021, at the Olde Stone Villa, 267 Depot St, Mt Croghan, SC 29727.
Chris was born July 5, 1968 in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of Mary Anna Baker and the late Clarance Tillman Hill. In his early 20's, Chris moved to Arizona, which is recognized as the birthplace of his motorsport passion for everything related to Mitsubishi 3000 GT's/Dodge Stealth's. Constantly racing and breaking records, Chris never rested on his natural talent. Constantly reading tech manuals and learning about the newest automotive technologies, Chris sought to share his wealth of information with all who would need it and find it useful. He created a business for 3/S owners and enthusiasts, then relocated to the south where he founded Ninja Performance with his wife Vicki. Nationally recognized as a brillant mechanical diagnostician, Chris didn't just offer performance parts, he provided clients with the know-how of how to get the most out of their upgrades and their rides. His determination and strength wasn't limited to the race track; Chris was diagnosed with multiple myeloma at the same time Ninja Performance was born. Given 2-3 years to live, Chris again defied the odds and broke through the time barrier set by surviving and thriving for a decade. He advocated for his own health by teaching himself how to read radiology reports, lab reports, and documented his clinical trials. The information he acquired wasn't simply for himself. Chris gathered this information to share with others in hopes of helping those who faced similar challenges. Forever generous with his time, he always made himself available to explain the details of his wisdom to anyone who asked. A source of constant focus in his life, Chris always wanted to help others learn. A friend to all who called on him, this also extended to his four legged friends. An animal lover throughout his life, he rescued countless creatures and provided the same warmth and love to them he was well known for. Strong and outgoing while being kind and thoughtful, Chris remains a legend on and off the track to all who know and love him.
In addition to his mother, left to cherish his memory is his wife, Vicki Diane Hill, his sister, Keirstin Bueche (Christian) and their children Emily and Cory, his sister Kimberly Ayres and her children Ronald Lazarus III, Zachary Lazarus, Christopher Ayers, a brother-in-law, Neal Fried and his children Aaron and Aiden, and three great-nephews.
