Eric Fowler

Mr. Eric Neal Fowler, age 58, of Monroe, NC, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at Atrium Health Pineville.

Graveside viewing will be held between 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Thursday, December 10, 2020 in the Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2820 New Town Road, Monroe, NC, 28110.

A 1:00 PM graveside service to honor Eric’s life will follow the viewing at Hebron United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Frank Crump.

Eric was born March 3, 1962 in Union County, NC, a son of the late Frank Lawson Fowler and Betty Jo Moore Fowler. Throughout Eric’s life, he was self-employed as a flooring contractor. A man who took pride is his work, Eric believed in working the way he lived: with dedication and integrity. Known as a man who was honest, giving, and kindhearted, he never met a stranger. Family was important to Eric, and he would do anything for family, or anyone else in need. Eric would put off doing things for himself in order to do for others and will be remembered as a character who was one of a kind.

Eric is survived by his partner in life of 30 years, Wanda Stilwell, her daughter, Michelle Helms, his sister, Melissa Hill (Charles), nieces Ashton and Elizabeth, nephews Tyler and Seth, and his honorary grandson, Trystan Helms.

In addition to his parents, Eric was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Fowler.
