Fred Anderson Whitmire

Fred Anderson Whitmire, 73, of Columbia, SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Baucom officiating.  The family will greet friends from 1 until 2PM prior to the service.

Born September 29, 1949 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Dewey Whitmire and Catherine Teeter Whitmire.  He worked as a Truck Driver.  He loved to play cards and play dominoes. 

Mr. Whitmire is survived by his son Derrick Whitmire of Columbia, SC, daughters Michelle Stinnett of Columbia, Natasha Chanel Lewis of Charlotte, brother Gary Whitmire of Monroe, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by siblings Deborah Whitmire, Ann Tuckus, Dewey Shepherd, Mike Whitmire, Rebecca Whitmire, and George Whitmire.
