Jean Wilson Carter

January 10, 1936 – February 13, 2020

Mrs. Jean Wilson Carter, age 84, of Wingate, NC, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at Autumn Care of Marshville, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  

Service arrangements are underway and will be provided at a later time. 

Jean was born January 10, 1936 in Rochester, NY, a daughter of the late Gerald Arthur Wilson and Beatrice Fiscus Wilson. She loved the Lord and music, serving as a church choir director for much of her life. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. 

Jean is survived by her husband, Robert Carter, three daughters; Deborah Hinson (Jerry), Donna Lingerfelt (Joseph), and Brenda Carter. Survivors also include 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren with 4 more due in the next 3 months. 

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her son, Steven Carter. 

Although flowers are appreciated, the family requests that memorials in Jean’s honor be made to Union County Hospice or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
