Jeannie Marez

Ms. Sarah Jean "Jeannie" Marez, age 51, of Pageland, SC, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021, at Atrium Health Union. 

A Memorial Gathering for Jeanie will be held between 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 8, 2021, in the Azalea Room of Davis Funeral Service, 1003 E. Franklin St., Monroe, NC, 28112. 

Jeannie was born October 14, 1969, in Harrison County, WV, a daughter of Sue Ann Drake Moore and the late Jefferson Davis Boylen. Known for being wonderful with people, Jeannie spent many years working in retail and customer service. She completed the certificate program for medical billing and coding and went on to work in the healthcare field. Regardless of the line of work, Jeannie enjoyed bringing a smile to people's faces. Remembered as funny with a quick sense of humor, she brought warmth into the lives of those around her. She enjoyed trips to the beach, flowers, and anything artistic. Jeanie possessed extraordinary talent and creativity that included her cooking, ability to draw, and her incredible penmanship. Above all, Jeannie loved her family. She was head over heels about her daughters and grandchildren, and the memory of Jeannie will be cherished for generations to come. 

Jeannie is survived by her daughters, Michelle Hutchings (Chris) and Mallory Melendez (Elijah),her mother, Sue Ann Moore, her sister, Tami Stout, her sister, Debbie Burd (Darryl), her sister, Vicki Hill (Chris), her sister, Mary Moore, her brother, Brian Moore (René), her grandsons; Bishop Hutchings and EJ Melendez, her best friend, Sanela August, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. 

In addition to her father, Jeannie was preceded in death by her brother, James "TJ" Moore Jr.
