Obituary
Johnny Lee Ivey Sr., age 75, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Atrium Health Union in Monroe. He was born on April 3, 1948 in Charlotte, NC to the late Mack and Margie Ivey. He was owner and operator of Ivey’s Heating & Cooling. He loved spending time hunting and fishing when he could. He was no stranger to hard work and was always happy to help anyone in need. The only thing bigger than the man himself was his heart and love he had for his family.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dean Haigler Ivey, a daughter Crystal (William) Meggs, two sons Johnny (Johnboy) Ivey Jr. and Steven Ivey, a step-son Timmy (Glenn) Clontz, two stepdaughters, Angela (Van) Tiller and Renee (Norman) Simpson. He had three sisters, Lind Ivey, Christine Hucks and Karen Beaver and three brothers the late Clayton Ivey, Mack Ivey, and Robert Ivey. He had fifteen grandkids and nineteen great grand kids.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Johnny touched are invited to a celebration of Life at his home @ 7219 Old Goldmine Road, Peachland, NC 28133 on Saturday, May 13th, 2023 at 1:00 PM to celebrate the life he had and remember all he did for his family and friends.
