Joyce Dean (Wicker) Griffin

Joyce Dean Griffin, 81, of Waxhaw passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Atrium Health Union in Monroe.  Her graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Lakeland Memorial Park with Pastor Chris Baucom officiating. 

Born April 9, 1942 in Union County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Merlin David Wicker and Marjorie Williams Wicker.  She was a retired employee of Charlotte Plastics.  She formerly attended West End Baptist Church, Monroe.

Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Tex Griffin.  She is survived by a brother David Wicker of Monroe and sister Eloise Dreyfus Daniels of Boca Raton, FL, and four nieces and nephews and a number of great-nieces and nephews.  A brother Bruce A Wicker preceded her in death.
