Mrs. Kristina Maria Anne Morrison Brown, age 49 of Waxhaw, NC, passed away on Sunday February 26, 2023, at Union County Hospice house – Monroe. Loving family and friends were by her side.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday March 3, 2023, at 11:00am, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 725 Deese Street, Monroe, NC 28112, Officiated by Father Benjamin Roberts. Burial will immediately Follow the Funeral Mass at Lakeland Memorial Park | Cemetery 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112

Memorial will be held at her house on Saturday March 4, 2023, from 2:00 - 5:00 pm

Kristina Maria Anne Morrison Brown was Born July 26, 1973, in The Bronx, New York. As a young child her family moved into a beautiful prewar building in Bayridge Brooklyn. The Only child to the Late John Morrison (2017) and Wife and Mother Beate Morrison. In addition to Her Father, Kristina was Preceded in death by her Husband (Richard L. Brown 3rd), and Aunt (Maria Hohmann)

From an early age Kristina knew she loved to be around people and following her mother’s advice she found herself studying at Katharine Gibbs secretarial school. Kristina followed her love of people and communication all the way to Wall Street, where she worked as a secretary until 2007.

Once her children were born it became more important to Kristina to be a stay-at-home-mother. And so, she put her all into being their everything. Kristina believed her children was and always will be her greatest attribute. Kristina always said it’s Madigan, Joseph, her mother and father, and then her husband and of course he knew he was last on the list, and it didn’t bother him because he loved that about her; family was everything to her. Kristina is the mother of all mothers, and no one will ever be able to fill those shoes. She had love that cannot be duplicated. If you were honored to know Kristina before she was a mom you knew that was her dream, she wanted to be a mother more than anything in this world; and once she was, she made sure everyone knew how important her kids were to her because they were her world.

After the retirement of her late husband Kristina and Richie relocated to Waxhaw, NC, where they created the beginnings of a beautiful new life together with Daughter Madigan and Son Joseph. Kristina immediately connected with new friends, and it was clear to all that she was one of those people that could be loved by all. Her kind soul and warm disposition was inviting. Kristina also loved to cook, and she was a great cook and loved to cook for others so she was always willing to share. Being able to feed everyone was always something that put a smile on her face. Kristina never hesitated when someone asked for a specific meal to be made; she looked at it as an honor. Kristina was known for a few different trademarks but if you ask the masses, they will all say you could hear her loud Brooklyn voice, see her big blonde hair and beautiful red lipstick and you knew she was near. Kristina was not only a beautiful soul and a gorgeous woman inside, but she was stunning on the outside as well. Kristina had Faith stronger than most and her love and trust in God always allowed her to know that there was a plan and although she didn’t know it, she did truly trust in God and no matter the outcome we will all be together again. And because of her strong faith she was not by any means afraid of her fate but was ready for it. She took every moment of every day with grace. Kristina will be forever missed and loved.

Kristina is Survived by her mother, Beate Morrison, and children; Madigan Brown, Joseph Brown, Niece Lauren Boniface-Kerr (Nicholas), (Grandson / Grandnephew) Travis, and (Granddaughter / Grandniece) Aurora.
