Linda Dianne Mills

Linda Dianne Cox Mills “Dianne”, 78 of Marshville passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022.  She was born April 4, 1943 in Union County, NC to the late Eustace and Eula Griffin Cox.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband Billy Hugh Mills of 49 ½ years as well as a brother Bill Cox. 

Dianne was a home maker for the majority of her life.  She loved her family and enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning and helping Billy in the shop where they built anything out of wood.  She was “MawMaw” to many. 

Mrs. Mills is survived by three sons, Wayne Mills, Jimmy Mills, and Barney Mills (Sandra) all of Marshville, one daughter Teresa Scully (Jeff) of Little River, SC, two brothers Ronnie and Larry Cox and one sister Betty Presson and sister-in-law Helen Cox all of Monroe, 10 grandchildren: Danielle (Jeremy), Brooke (Johnathan), Rusty (Courtney), Sam (Elias), Tina, Ryan (Haley), Kaitlyn, Cara, Kylie, Emily and 10-great-grandchildren: Karlee, Trevor, Makynlie, Zaelyn, Maverick, Stephanie, Laney, Faith, Corbin and Addy. 

Her funeral service will be 2 PM on Friday, January 28, 2022 in the Davis Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor David Marsh officiating.  Burial will follow in the Griffin Cemetery, Monroe.  The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Davis Funeral Service.  At other hours the family will be gathering at Jimmy’s house.
