Marie Sell

Mrs. Marie Carol Simpson Sell, age 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 30, 2021 surrounded by family at her residence. 
Services to honor Marie’s life will be held in the H. Vann Davis III Memorial Chapel of Davis Funeral Service, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC, 28112 on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. 
Marie was born on January 26, 1946, the daughter of the late Howard Caldwell Simpson and Virginia Ethel Aderholt Simpson. Marie understood the importance of first impressions, always ensuring she looked her best. She was known for never leaving the house without having her hair, makeup and accessories in place. A wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her family was her world. She was so incredibly proud of all her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Marie loved to cook and the family always knew there would be too much food at any holiday or celebration. Her presence will be missed by many, but continue to live on in all that loved her. 
 

Those left to cherish Marie’s memory include her loving husband, Charles Davis Sell; her daughter, Dawn Deese (Randy); her daughter, Kim Benton (Greg); her son, Adam Sell; her four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
