Norman Conway Thomas

Norman Conway Thomas, 65, of Monroe passed away on February 6, 2022 in Atrium Health Cabarrus.  A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Service on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 2 PM with Pastor Tim Helms officiating.  The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Service from 1 until 2 PM prior to the service. 

Born September 9, 1956 in Union County, NC, he was the son of the late Conway and Louise Helms Thomas.  He was a retired employee of BB&T and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Matthews.  Mr. Thomas enjoyed baseball and football and was a Corvette enthusiast. 

Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joyce Long Thomas of the home. Other survivors include sisters Gale Starnes of Monroe, Kathy Thomas of Marshville, and brothers Alvin Thomas of Monroe, L. S. Thomas of Monroe. Nieces and nephews Adam Thomas, Donny Thomas, Amanda Starnes, Randy Starnes, Charlie Starnes, Bryan Thomas and Crystal Johnson. Special recognition to Dakoda Long, who he loved like a son, and spouse Jonas Hoy.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
