Obituary

Roger Wood Karp, 79, of Indian Trail passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in Atrium Health, Waxhaw.  His funeral service will be graveside at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Forest Lawn East with Pastor Chris Baucom officiating.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Davis Funeral Service from Noon until 1 PM prior to the service. 

Born September 1, 1943 in Fort Dodge, IA, he was the son of the late Henry Karp and Mary Alice Sill Karp.  He was of the Lutheran Faith and retired from Lowes.  Prior to employment with Lowes, he worked many years in the poultry industry with Cuddy Farms.  He was a veteran of the US Army. 

He is survived by his of wife of 55 years Kathy Witt Karp.  Other survivors include son Michael Karp (Claudine) of Seattle, WA and Matthew Karp (Celeste) of Indian Trail, sister Susan Sanchez, brothers Philip Karp, Gary Karp, Jim Karp and Dale Karp, and 5 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by granddaughter McKenzie Karp.
