Ruby Lee Hargette Deese, 87, of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 in her home. Her funeral service will be a private graveside at Lakeland Memorial Park.

Born September 26, 1936 in Union County, NC she was the daughter of the late William Mac Hargette and Maudie Mae Burgess Hargette and was a former seamstress with Comar.

Mrs. Deese was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Lee Deese, son Tommy Joe Deese, and daughter Sandra Renee Wright and son in law Randy Wright as well as 4 brothers and 4 sisters and a granddaughter Stephanie Wright. She is survived by daughters Joyce Dean Baucom of Clayton and Donna Sue Griffin of Monroe and son Donald Edward Deese of Monroe, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
