Sonny was born in Kennett, Missouri and raised his family in Apopka, Florida. He has been a resident of Monroe, NC for 40 years.
Sonny was a man of many talents. He spent his younger days in the rodeo arena and won many trophies and ribbons. He was a mechanic by trade for most of his life and had a knack for leather work. He never met a stranger, always had a good story to tell, and met everyone with a smile on his face.
