William Pharo Wiltsee, 84, of Monroe passed away on February 2, 2023. A private celebration of life will be held later at his home.
Born May 1, 1938 in Huntington, WV, he was the son of the late Donald Lee Wiltsee and Josephine Kelly Groseclose Wiltsee. Before moving to Monroe, he was a member of Weddington United Methodist Church where he served on various committees and was instrumental in the building of the Family Life Center and New Sanctuary. He was one of the owners of CBW Communication Engineers in Charlotte which he began in 1975 with Hal Carnes and Jerry Burkett. They enjoyed 40 years in business. He attended the Citadel and also attended Virginia Tech and received an Engineering Degree from UNCC. Bill was a veteran of the US Air Force in Radio Operations. He obtained his private pilot’s license with multi engine and land instrument ratings. Bill enjoyed equestrian life and competed in dressage competitions with his horse Pedro.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Ann Alexander Wiltsee Phillips.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Pat Plyler-Wiltsee of Monroe and a brother Charles Spinning Wiltsee of Kentucky as well as many nieces and nephews.
